It looks as if it will do everything except emulate AGA, so it will run
a limited range of Amiga software very fast.
I haven't seen any list of compatible software, but Pagestream, Cycas,
Bars&Pipes, Imagine, PPaint, Perfect Paint, TVPaint, DeLuxe Music II,
all MUI-based programs (Voyager etc), ADPro, SoundFX, Samplitude, Draw
Studio, Transwrite, OctaMED SS, etc should run OK.
Expect Scala, Mediapoint, DeLuxe Paint, Brilliance, ImageMaster,
Music-X, Pro Draw, and most games to either not run or have major problems.
Cloanto announced a forthcoming major speedup of Amiga Forever too. This
does have AGA emulation (not perfect, I gather), but needs Windows to
run.
I don't think this is the end of the story. There is plenty of room for
further development.
The price seems reasonable to me.
